What interior design has to do with websites?

Dreams really do come true.

I recently just came back from a magical week long escape to the Balearic Island of Mallorca ☀️

It still blows my mind how I was able to just spontaneously decide to join my friend and photographer Luisa (@luisaapanui) in Mallorca and book tickets one week before leaving.

This time, I did still have commitments to clients and to my own business too - so it was going to be a work and travel kinda trip.

As a once-upon-a-time, poor, broke student, always travelling on the tightest budget, sleeping only in hostels, campsites, couchsurfing or in a car (which, don't get me wrong, I still had the BEST time!) - but the idea of staying in luxury hotels seemed like a far fetched dream, only for the lucky and the rich.

AND YET

Little did I know that this time, I would have achieved enough financial freedom to stay in luxury boutique hotels (with a room that opens out to a freaking swimming pool!!), dine at fine places and not have to stress about whether I'll have enough for rent and food next month (student life mentality).

I don't say this to brag.

Gosh no!

I say this to hopefully inspire you, to expand your limits of what could be possible for you?

If YOU had your own online business and a beautiful website that could allow you the freedom to work from anywhere? And with no limitations as to how much you could earn?

Honestly, I have to say, I never thought this kinda of freedom would be possible for me just one year ago.

The only thing that's changed is that I have (in my opinion) an attractive website & an online business.

And an abundant mindset of course!

If you're at that stage where you KNOW deep down that a new website would catapult your business and FINALLY provide you the freedom you so desire, then there are two ways you can get started right now!

  1. If you're on a tight budget and you're just starting out:

Find a great template that's been efficiently coded so that you have the creative freedom to move things around and customise it to your brand! You can check out my Nomadic template here!

  2. If you're ready to invest in custom branding and website:

Find a designer who makes you feel heard and seen, who feels aligned to you, who you feel really 'gets' you and your vision - the magic of a stellar website is not just in a pretty design, but one that fits you like a glove and reflects your unique personality.

PS. My nomadic template just relaunched and it's full of new goodies! But the most important part is just how efficiently I coded the template so that YOU have the creative freedom to replicate sections, pages, and styled elements WITHOUT needing any code, section/block IDs, or hopping into Canva!! Magic right?!

Feedback I received recently from Sivan (a social media marketing freelancer) — who used the Nomadic template for her website:

"Honestly, I've been booking so many clients recently! They see my website and immediately want to work with me — saying that my website really stood out to them, it looks so professional and they love how I my portfolio is showcased. I'm constantly getting compliments on my website!"

see how she customised the template!

Now if you'd love to get feedback from people and increase your client bookings like that, then check out the Nomadic Template here →

Going back to that dreamy boutique hotel, just about everything there is exactly how I would design my future home/property to look and feel.

Both rustically old, yet minimalistic modern. European in style, but with a Moorish influence. High-end luxury comfort, yet with authenticity and eco-conscious in mind, which makes the place feel so wholesome and grounded.

I love all the soft, pastel, earthy colours with pops of light sage green accenting the window frames and the turquoise pool.

I love the smooth clay textures in contrast with the rough stone walls and light wooden furnishings.

Everything has just been SO intentionally designed to give guests the most incredible experience — a relaxing escape from the demands of work and busy life.

An oasis, a paradise.

Where one can simply soak up the sun, bathe their stresses away and melt into the sunbeds.

What a magical, creative and expansive space.

I would love to stay a week or even a month here - just soaking up the creative energy and transmuting that into design, writing, and photography.

And the more I thought about WHY I'd be willing to pay so much just to stay here again, the more I realised that it's the collective EXPERIENCE that makes this place so valuable.

It wasn't just the pool, or the rooms, or the delicious breakfast, or the location, or any ONE thing in particular.

It was how they were all intentionally created so that collectively, they created a unique atmosphere, a truly beautiful experience, and a feeling of bliss.

THAT is what I love and strive to create for my clients.

And I am always improving, elevating my processes intentionally so that my clients can have that blissful design experience and a website that makes people want to stay and soak it all in 🌻

PS. I only have a few design spaces available for 2021 - so if you're ready to create your dream website this year and feel called to work with me... then fill out my Client Application Form!

... and let's start dreaming up your new website!
